In an earlier paper, CCAT Patrícia lays groundwork on methods to quantify body size changes in belemnites during climate changes of the Pliensbachian-Toarcian interval using state-of-the-art micro-CT scans of the fossils. The quantification include which changes happen across the community and which happen within a species.
